JUL 14: VIP KICKOFF FOR NEW EXHIBIT BY MASTER ARTIST KALMAN ARON

L.A. art lovers, take note: this week, the essential must-see opening is for artist KALMAN ARON. Read on for details...

"From European Palaces to Seven Nazi Concentration Camps...from the salons, galleries and museums of Paris, London, Vienna, New York and Rome, to the Golden Age of Hollywood in the 40's....to the wealth and splendor of Belair and Beverly Hills--Master Artist Kalman Aron has survived seven decades as a painter and 80 + years celebrating a treasured life. In a rare opportunity, the master opens his studio to the public with a new retrospective...."
---- Thomas Murphy, Art Auctioneer-The Corporate Art Network.

Master Artist Kalman Aron, the father of "psychological realism" in Europe in the 1940's, is providing the growing Los Angeles Art community with a rare treat with a VIP Retrospective for the first time in a decade on July 14th at his studios. Kalman, a tall and spry Octogenarian, is the famed portrait artist of such sitting icons as (the White House portrait of) Ronald Reagan, writer Henry Miller, composer Andre Previn, the King of Latvia, the Sassoons, and the gentry of Paris, London, Vienna, Venice, Rome, New York and Los Angeles -- the same cities that have his paintings gracing their museums and private collections. His landscapes are also found in collections around the world.

Mr. Aron survived 7 Nazi concentration camps over 4 years as a teen by drawing the camp guards for their wives and girlfriends. (Many have stated the philosophy that Art Is Life; in this case, it was literally true.) Recently, Steven Spielberg's mother accepted an invitation to view Kalman's art renderings from his rare Holocaust works.

Invitations for July 14th are being sent by 1st Class Mail. Please contact Edward Lozzi & Associates for VIP and media inquiries, at 310-922-1200.

Kalman Aron Studio Retrospective Opening Night, By Invitation Only, Thursday July 14th, 2005, 5 PM to 9 PM. Location: The Kalman Aron Studio, 1550 S. Beverly Drive (near Pico Blvd. ) Los Angeles 90035. Contact: Edward Lozzi, 310-922-1200. Note: while the VIP Reception on Thursday 7/14 is by invitation only, there is plenty of time for all to see the show, as it runs to November 15th.
