Performing Arts Studio West Program Description

Performing Arts Studio West (PASW) is a privately operated, state funded facility that opened in 1998 specifically to provide acting, voice, music, dance, technical training and employment opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities who want to work professionally in the field of entertainment. The studio offers an environment where its participants can enhance self-esteem, social skills, and vocational skills through their involvement in a performing arts curriculum, professionally staged theatrical productions and a vocational training component. All classes are taught by working professionals from the entertainment industry.

PASW actively advocates to the entertainment industry regarding the viability of hiring performers with disabilities. We have crafted a truly imaginative and inspirational setting for learning, personal growth, creativity, job training and employment opportunities. Performing Arts Studio West has brought to life the reality of actors, singers, musicians and technical personnel, with and without disabilities, combining their talents to create quality, original entertainment.
