New Children's Luxury Apparel Boutique, PUMPKINHEADS, Announces 15% of All Store Profits Will Benefit 2 Local Charities; Art Share Los Angeles and Operation School Bell.

(July 26, 2005 : Brentwood, CA)
PUMPKINHEADS, opening this September in Brentwood, California, is making a real change in children’s clothing. Nestled in one of the most prime luxury shopping areas in Southern California, this boutique will boast the finest collection of international children’s designers in the entire Los Angeles area as well as commit to donating 15% of all profits to local children’s charities. Jamara Ghalayini, founder of Pumpkinheads, has her own ideas about what defines business “profits and success”. Resigning herself earlier this year from her post as a consultant with Deloitte Consulting, LLP in the Actuarial and Insurance Solutions practice group where she worked with Fortune 500 clients, Jamara and her husband Mo, have devoted themselves entirely to this new entrepreneurial venture. Pumpkinheads is structured uniquely as a non-profit/profit hybrid business that marries the goals of a profitable company to a profitable community.

Each quarter Pumpkinheads will donate 15% of the boutiques profits to selected charities. Pumpkinheads is proud to announce first two charities that will benefit from the shoppers at Pumpkinheads will be Art Share Los Angeles and Operation School Bell. Both are local children’s charities that are making an incredible difference.

Art Share Los Angeles, located in downtown Los Angeles, serves more than 750 students weekly and has become known by community leaders as one of the most innovative and impactful non-profits in the LA area. Their unique arts and literacy based curriculum provides services in critical need areas throughout the city. www.artsharela.org

Operation School Bell, provides new clothing and personal grooming products to children in extreme need-those who are struggling to remain in school while facing other severe problems because their families cannot afford to buy them adequate clothing. The service is run completely by volunteers and serves over 4,000 kids (4-18) each school year throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. www.operationschoolbell.org

Pumpkinheads, located at 11640 San Vicente Blvd., Brentwood, CA, will officially open its doors on September 1st, 2005, welcoming shoppers to shop from the finest selection of children’s apparel and at the same time be part of making a difference in the lives of children in need living in Southern California. Pumpkinheads will offer full lines of exquisite European apparel such as Boboli, Miniman, Deux par Deux, Confetti, Chipie and Jean Bourget, beautiful imported cotton casuals from Imps and Elfs, Kidscase, Petit Bateau and Mon Reve, a large selection of luxurious children's cashmere by Amber Hagen, Cashmirino and Comme Si Comme Ca, and a full line of girls formal couture apparel by Malley & Co. and Judith LaCroix.
