You have seen, heard and read about the enormous outpouring of money, supplies and goodwill from your fellow citizens towards Katrina victims. Now it's your turn. Come be a part of LAsupportsLA, as in L.A. (Los Angeles) supports LA (Louisiana) (as if I have to spell it out). Easily the most creative title of any Gulf Coast hurricane benefit, LAsupportsLA also boasts the best host -- the amazing multi-hatted Harry Shearer -- and perhaps the best food and wine, too. Not only will your heart feel good, but your stomach will too.

50 Restaurants and 100 Wineries join LearnAboutWine to host an encore edition of TASTE for Hurricane Relief. Hosted by TV, Radio, and Film personality Harry Shearer (what is he, over half the Simpsons voices? Perhaps it should be renamed The Shearsons), this event will attract over 1,000 Los Angelenos for a night of Wine Tasting, TOP restaurant noshing and live entertainment, including DJ Paul Oakenfold, a fabulous silent auction and 100% of all proceeds with go to Hurricane Katrina charities.

"We are expecting an extraordinary smattering of talent, stunning wines being donated by private collectors and the finest in art being auctioned off, of which one $250k painting by an NDA artist is close to being secured. All is coming together nicely with the delightful Harry Shearer, of Simpsons, Spinal Tap, Mighty Wind and Le Show fame, a part time New Orleans resident, who is currently experiencing great sorrow as us all in the wake of Katrina, committed to MC the event.
